Professionalism

Working collaboratively with the Office of Respectful Conduct in Clinical and Academic Environments, Human Resources and hospital partners, Faculty Affairs seeks to uphold a respectful, welcome, professional environment within the Faculty of Health Sciences and across the Faculty’s affiliated institutions that is conducive to the best clinical care, education and research.

Mark Walton, Vice-Dean, Faculty Affairs, provides expertise and advice to faculty leadership on matters related to faculty professionalism and professional behaviours. As vice-dean, he ensures effective and appropriate faculty professionalism and institutional policies and practices are in place to ensure a safe, respectful and professional workplace for all. The vice-dean also works closely with hospital partners to uphold expectations of professional behaviour for faculty who work within the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) and its affiliated hospitals. This work is done in partnership with the Office of Professionalism.

To consult on matters related to faculty professionalism or disrespectful conduct by faculty, contact the Office of Respectful Conduct in Clinical and Academic Environments (ORCCA) or Employee and Labour Relations (ELR).
